Carson got me from the very first page with 'his rich cocoa eyes', from then it just got better and better! The electricity between Carson and Tawny simply burnt through the pages as I read, stunning.
Prompted by her dying father asking her if she had any regrets, her loveless marriage and her lost dreams, Tawny takes the big decision to make her life worth living. She divorces, moves to Paris and starts to put her life back together, there was just one thing stopping her from moving on.....Decades of lustful memories from her student times with her real true love and 'experimental' lover Carson. Both Carson and Tawny had grown so much more than intense lovers in their passionate time together, they were soul mates, and if they had only communicated, owning up to their feelings for each other, they would have prevented so many lost years. but instead sharing none. Was that the end of the dream? Oh absolutely not, from the moment they re-connected it was the beginning of a new chapter creating another exciting and passionate ride.
Carson's kindness and love for Tawny absolutely melted me, the never-ending love they had for each other brought such an emotional edge to the story. The way Carson's family and friends embraced Tawny into their lives brought Melissa's familiar sense of loyalty and friendship to the story.
Another wonderful steamy read that will surely take your breath away. I'm so looking forward to joyful Brett next and the woman who tries to tame him down!

Actress Trish Ryder takes her job seriously and has no time for those who don’t. When she’s awarded a major role in a new movie featuring America’s hottest rock star, Boone Stryker, she’s beyond excited. The six-two, tattooed hunk of burning desire is known for his dedication to his craft—but when he ditches their first meeting, she begins to wonder if he’s just another rocker with a great PR team.
Sex, booze, women, and music pretty much sums up Boone Stryker’s private world. He’s coasted through life playing by his own rules with plenty of people willing to cover his tracks, and he’s not likely to change—until he meets a woman who refuses to give him the time of day, much less anything more.
Sparks fly from the first moment Trish and Boone meet—tensions run hot and desire runs hotter when they’re trapped together on a remote location with no place to hide. Will sparks ignite, or will a hurricane douse the flames?
Another winner in the enjoyable 14th Century Shapeshifter Sagas. A beautiful story full of charm that took hold of my imagination straight away. The magnetism in each of these stories seem to have me transfixed when I read them, they seem so real. Each are absolutely stand alone reads so there is nothing to be missed just reading one, although I think you will want to read them all, I am totally loving all of them and can't wait for the next one already!
Kristie is widowed and living with her brother, Domnall, and his pregnant wife, Jean on their farm. There is extreme worry for Domnall and his friend who are late returning from a fishing trip, along with the enormous backlog of work that has yet to be done on the farm. Kristie, on searching for her brother, ends up finding an unclothed injured man on the shores, an outsider, who doesn't seem to know who or where he is. They take him in to aide his recovery and he soon starts to help them out on the farm while Domnall is still missing. He starts to make a close connection with Kristie and a friendship with loveable young Jock, who lives with his aunt and uncle in the farm next door.
Jock's father died in battle, he believes his mom to be living in the ocean as a 'selkie', a grey seal who looks for love as a human form but the call of the ocean is always so strong it wins out. Obviously everyone thinks this is one of the youngsters well thought out stories but there could be so much more truth in this than everyone believes.
Who is this outsider and what has happened to Domnall and his friend? Is there a connection or just pure coincidence?
Another fascinating tale to escape into from this author, it pulled me in and towards the end had my heart fluttering wondering what would happen. I really enjoy the flow of the authors writing which just enhances the story. Outsider left me feeling happy and lucky to have been able to read it. Next please!!
Meet Jake Roberts, no nonsense ex policeman who runs his own security business and cannot help himself getting into trouble from past exploits.
Cary Allen Stone does it again, a masterpiece of fiction and will keep any reader engrossed and on their toes, I must admit he is one of my favourite authors and always look forward to his novels.
This time Jake has to tackle and rescue a friend’s wife from an evil drug lord and the adventure along with the thrills and spills is an amazing one.
The emotive writings are excellent and the tension that the author brings to a crescendo keeps the reader enthralled all the way to the end. The characters and scenes are expertly described and you can imagine yourself being in the background observing. You also feel a very strong connection to Jake and will him on to succeed and survive.
This book can be read alone as Jake's past is described in the book so you know exactly what has been going on.
Any detective loving reader will instantly fall in love with the novel and I cannot wait for the next one. (hurry please!)
This book has everything, kidnap, murder, police investigation and the hunt for lost treasure. A real page turner full of thrills and emotion with excellent descriptive writing and characters that jump out of the pages and come to life.
The story takes us on a rip roaring roller coaster of a ride through the jungle to find a hidden city of gold in order to save his girlfriend from a kidnapper. A lot of research has obviously gone into this novel, I feel the story is a cross between the Indiana Jones stories and the old Tarzan adventures with a mythological creature and old fashioned defence mechanisms thrown in.
The chapters are small and the story flows smoothly. I think each reader will pick out their favourite character and will want them to succeed.
A riveting read for all adventures lovers who have an interest in history. I enjoyed this book along with the authors other novels and anyone who likes adventure mystery and suspense will enjoy it too.
'Camaraderie, honor, respect, family and love are the combined soul of this beautiful, emotional and passionate story.' My book review of Truly, Madly, Whiskey romance by Melissa Foster
The family values fly off the pages and take hold of your heart. I easily became engaged into Crystal and Bear's life in Truly, Madly, Whiskey and of all those around them, the whole biker community along with the Dark Knights was a great back story too.
They say to never judge a person on first appearances and that is so true with those Whiskey brothers and the biking community as a whole. Burrowed deep within Crystal are the memories that her normal secure childhood had changed to uncertainty, grief, and emotional upheaval, she pushes on with life but she has built a wall around herself so nothing would hurt her again even though her heart might tell her differently. The way Bear continued to push on with the tiny hope he carried of a relationship with Crystal, unwilling to give up until she succumbed, definitely pulled on my heart. Was Bear the one to break her wall down?
I enjoyed watching their relationship unfold, laughing throughout the book at the fun banter between them. Again little Kennedy stole my heart, with her cute innocent remarks. One character I am so looking forward to reading more on is Dixie, I'm hoping that she has her own book although I feel sorry for any love interest she may have with those protective biker brothers around.
And OMG the ending!! Can't say anymore, you will just have to read it to find out.

Our Beck Valley Books Review - 'Just Three Dates is a simple, gentle, realistic story. David Burnett, Author's wonderful writing style has you there in the moment.'....
Both Karen and Mark find themselves at a time of life where they would have loved to be settled down with a family, yet through past heartbreaks they both remain single to the annoyance of their parents or should I say mothers! So what does a mother do when their child can't move forward into a relationship after so long, they feel the need to press the fast forward button and play the blind date host of course!
After being hammered by his mother so many times of the need to find a wife, Mark gives in to her crazy blind date request with her friends daughter Karen, with the promise that they just have to have three dates, and then the whole idea will be forgotten about. Poor Karen is also put into the same predicament and reluctantly agrees. They set out, under duress, to meet for their three dates, but the path of true love never runs smoothly so how will it work out?
David's wonderful writing style has you there in the moment, along with Karen and Mark, it feels like you are reading a true story and the characters are your friends, I even felt frustrated with Mark at times for his stubborn ways just like you would in reality. You get to relive the new relationship emotions, the awkwardness, the stress and anticipation, getting to know each other, searching for clues within each other and perhaps reading the wrong signals. Yet for Karen and Mark they have the added pressure of knowing their mothers expect wedding bells to chime!
I really enjoyed their story and it did leave me thinking about the idea of an agreed marriage against the loneliness of being on your own, the pros and the cons, quite thought provoking. Which is why I love this author so much, a simple, gentle, realistic story that flows in to the readers mind and has you thinking long after you have read the book.

Hearts at Seaside by Addison Cole
Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers
"Addison Cole takes the most beautiful moments, adds humor and and an edge of heat and makes for a highly addictive series. Hearts at Seaside examines the emotions that make us human and the lessons we learn from them." reviews I Love Romance
"Besides being a romance, this novel is also based on friendship, family, and overcoming struggles with the help of those we love and trust. The friendship between Leanna, Jenna, Bella, and Amy is amazing and inspiring, reminding you of the importance of friends. And the way the men accept and love all of these women despite their crazy bond and crazy ways, is fantastic.
Hearts at Seaside is written beautifully with the characters perfectly balanced between simple and complex. Although the main story is Jenna and Pete, there are several subplots that just enhance the beauty of this novel. Addison Cole has once again blown me away and I cannot wait to read the next installment in the series!" reviews Dandelions Inspired

He’s looking forward to seeing his friend Jenna, a welcome distraction who’s so sexy and painfully shy that she equally entertains and confuses him.
When Jenna picks up a hard-bodied construction worker, jealousy ignites Pete’s true feelings, and he’s unable to ignore the desires for Jenna he never realized he had. But Pete’s not the quiet guy he appears to be, and his life is anything but conducive to a relationship. I Love Romance
This is such a delightful book, the story was so heartwarming and the beautiful illustrations are absolutely adorable. The story starts with an excited feel as Prince Puppy is to be born in the Puppy Kingdom, preparations are under way including the creation of his special Prince crown. But he arrives early causing worry and uncertainty, yet he was being well cared for by Dr Pup and his staff in hospital. Adjustments would have to be made but things would soon settle down and fall into place.
This is an easy story to read with a child (or on your own like me ;-) ) and I felt that it encouraged discussion between the older and younger reader as they went through it together. A lovely way for a young child to be able to understand what is either happening to them in their own family or perhaps a family they know.
I just smiled throughout this book, it was so cute with touching illustrations reminding me of soft cotton wool. Definitely a book to be cherished and passed around the family.
