Welcome to the third instalment of Chris Birdy's excellent series. The storyline revolves around a murder and the adverse effect it has on each of the characters and how they cope . Within each chapter, a story is told and then the author expertly brings them together to make an excellent conclusion.
Everyone will be able to touch base with the emotions and feelings in the book when you face a difficult situation and find out who you can really rely for support. The characters grow throughout and their traits come to the fore.
The star of the show, of course, is Isabella, a highly intelligent young girl who needs to be constantly given a new challenge or mayhem ensues and when both her parents are involved in solving the murder the story really takes off.
An excellent read which is page turning and keeps the reader enrapt.
