Lost But Found: A Boy's Story of Grief and Recovery by Lauren Persons (Author), Noah Hrbek (Illustrator). "The book is written from the heart and it should be used to help anyone who has lost someone." reviews Beck Valley Books

"An excellent descriptive and illustrated book which depicts how a little boy is dealing with the loss of his dad. The book uses simple words and explanations on how he actually came to understand what had happened to his dad and why his dad was not going to come back.
.
All the way through the book it shows how much he cares and loves his dad, then he realises that even though his dad has gone he is still in his heart and thoughts as well as in the kindness of people he meets.
.
The story expands into him growing up and having a son of his own, then this is the strong point of the book as he realises that he has been shown how to love his own son by the love he was shown by his dad.
.
The book is written from the heart and it should be used to help anyone who has lost someone, to help them to talk and discuss their feelings."

Lost But Found: A Boy's Story of Grief and Recovery deals with one of the toughest issues a parent may ever have to face--explaining to a child that a loved one has died. Often, to protect them, children are left out of the grieving process. This book allows adults to travel with a young boy as he works to make sense of his loss--and, in turn, their own.
.
I wrote this book to allow children to ask questions, and talk about their fears and feelings. What I have found is that often children have better insights on these hard life questions than the adults in the room!
